缅甸的运输线争夺战

一群中国男女小孩挤上一辆吉普车，围绕在一名美军身边。他们挥舞彩旗欢迎第一支由印度列多沿史迪威公路开来中国的车队，同时也欢庆我方终于突破了日本对这条公路34个月的封锁。这支具有历史意义的车队是众多往昆明进发的车队中中抵达目的地的第一支。由此，史迪威公路与中国内陆公路网对接，通向“自由中国”的四面八方。（译注：“自由中国”(Free China)是冷战期间西方国家对中华民国的称呼。）
