中国的首都重庆郊外一座山岭上，装备了一门高射炮。白天日军轰炸机肆虐了中国多个城市。今天他们没敢来挑战。高射炮战略性地部署在重庆市四周。这个城市在过去三年夏天中遭受到的轰炸比世界上任何城市都要猛烈。当五月到来，新一轮轰炸又要开始，这些严格训练的防空部队地勤人员整装待发准备应对来自空中的袭击。高射炮设置在一个环形小坑内，由树叶和树枝掩护好以防被敌机发现。

A Chinese anti-aircraft battery stands at alert on ahill outside of Chungking,China's capital.Gone are the days when Jap bombers flow over Chinese cities with insolent impunity.Today they are not by fighter planes and an anti-air craft barrage.Anti-aircraft guns are strategically placed on the hill tops surrounding the city of Chungking,which has suffered the heaviest bombing of any city in the world during the past three summers.With May the bombing weather starts again,and these highly trained anti-aircraft guns crews are ready for the next expected attack from the air.The gun is set in asmall crater,and is well camouflaged from the enemy planes by brances and leaves.
