China-the first city east of Burma to be liberated by the allies,the ancient jade center of Tengchung has been. Captured from the Japs after five bloody weeks of fighting, here, Chinese soldiers scale the blasted wall of the city. Smoke in the background is from Allied grenades that had been tossed over the wall.(Also see acme photos #738968-969-970-971)
